Operation 'Safe Stadium' in Mexico City

Mexico City authorities conducted an operation to combat ticket reselling for the friendly match between the national teams of Mexico and Portugal. This event was one of the first major sporting occasions since the reopening of the iconic Azteca Stadium. To protect fans from fraud and irregularities, the Secretariat of Citizen Security of Mexico City implemented a special operation called "Safe Stadium". As a result, at least 18 individuals were arrested for attempting to sell tickets outside the venue. All detainees were handed over to the Civic Judge to face administrative sanctions. Authorities have urged fans to purchase tickets only through official channels, such as the authorized sales platform or stadium box offices, to avoid legal issues and ensure the validity of their tickets.
